Mansoura University Hospital obtains ISO accreditation in comprehensive quality management, environmental management, occupational safety& health, and food safety

Mansoura University Hospital obtained 4 certificates from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the sectors of comprehensive quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety, and food safety. Thus, it is considered the first university hospital to obtain ISO certificates.

This accreditation came after the donor’s visits to the hospital and an intensive review tour of all administrative, medical and engineering departments to ensure that all units follow the required quality rules and procedures, infection control instructions, occupational safety and health, food security and safety, as well as reviewing quality systems and documents within the hospital.
Mansoura University Hospital has begun quality qualification procedures in implementation of the strategic plan of Mansoura University, within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to care for the health of the Egyptian citizen and constructing a strong health system that provides distinguished health services.
The hospital has formed an integrated work team that includes the hospital administration, the quality assurance unit, the quality team, and representatives of doctors, nurses and administrators.
The donor praised the hospital management and its keenness to adhere to the rules and regulations in order to provide the best healthy environment and medical services that meet the highest levels of satisfaction, comfort and safety for patients.
Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, congratulated the hospital administration and all the faculty, medical and administrative staff on this great achievement, stressing his full and permanent support for the needs of the university’s medical sector aiming to achieve further excellence in providing medical services, in continuation of the university’s leadership as the pioneer of medicine in Egypt, and providing health care services to citizens in the Egyptian Delta and all parts of the Republic.
